Over 100 Years of
North Woods Roots

This land has been in the Milligan family for over a century. Long before it was a vacation home, my grandfather and great-grandfather walked these same woods — hunting, trapping, and fishing the Pigeon River and Black River country the way generations of north Michigan families did. They knew every trail, every bend in the river, every spot where the elk gathered at dusk.

That tradition never stopped. Six generations of our family have built memories here — and now we want to share this place with yours. When you stay with us, you're not just booking a rental. You're stepping into a piece of Michigan north woods history that our family has loved and cared for across more than 100 years.

This land has fed our family for six generations — from the fish pulled out of the Black River to the game taken from these woods every fall — and it still does today. That's not a figure of speech. It's a way of life that started with my great-grandfather and continues with us. We hope the river, the trails, and the quiet of these woods give your family the same sense of belonging they've always given ours.
